Avital Li

Avital Li served as the Program Manager for the Secretariat of the International Network for Environmental Compliance and Enforcement (INECE), which is housed at ELI from 2020 to 2021. Through her work with INECE, she organized convenings, coordinated programs including capacity-building, and administered the Network's website and communications. Prior to this role, as an Research Associate from 2018 -2020, she worked on various projects, including on conflict sensitivity in environmental programming and nature-based hazard mitigation. In her free time, she enjoys learning about agroecology and nature-based restoration and remediation. She earned a Joint BA and BSc in Sustainability, Science and Society from McGill University, where her thesis consisted of an in depth case study based on field work she conducted in Panama.
