Caitlin F. McCarthy
Caitlin F. McCarthy was ELI's Director of Education, Associates and Corporate Partnerships. In this role, Caitlin researched, facilitated, and led programming for both ELI members and the broader public interested in environmental policy and law. She oversaw membership and educational programs, including for international and national law firms, Fortune 500 and smaller corporations, and NGOs. With a dual focus on membership recruitment and public outreach, Caitlin oversaw the Education and Associates Departments, as well as 100+ programs per year. During her time at ELI, Caitlin grew participation numbers by 500%, increased institutional memberships, expanded programmatic offerings, and founded and led the Emerging Leaders Initiative (ELI ELI).
Caitlin earned her MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge and completed her on the intersection of food security and urban agriculture. Prior to her Master’s degree, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sewanee: University of the South with an honors degree in Environmental Studies and History. Caitlin has research experience in food security, agriculture policy, community engagement, environmental justice, and international environmental law, especially UK and EU environmental law.
Caitlin is currently a law student at the University of North Carolina School of Law.
