Dominic Scicchitano
Dominic Scicchitano served as an ELI Research Associate from August 2019 to August 2021. He was involved in projects connected to the Indoor Projects & Green Buildings, Wetlands, and Oceans Programs, and managed ELI’s People Places Planet Podcast. Prior to joining ELI, Dominic conducted independent research on microplastic pollution in the Susquehanna River Watershed, organized focus groups in his community to help incorporate nature play elements into the design plan for a new public park, and served on the Executive Board for the Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association, where he helped rekindle CERCLA conversations concerning a former riverfront landfill. Dominic is from Berwick, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Latin American Studies. His senior Honors Thesis focused on the environmental and economic implications of counterhegemonic intentional communities in Latin America and the United States.
