Georgia Ray
Georgia Ray joined ELI as a Research Associate in August 2021, completing her position in July 2023. During her two-year term, she worked on projects related to best practices for sustainable land-based aquaculture, wetlands for hazard mitigations, green technology, protections for environmental defenders, intergovernmental environmental enforcement, and the digital economy and the environment. She was also the People Places Planet Podcast host. Before coming to ELI, Georgia worked with the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities, was a Kleinman Center for Energy Research Leadership Fellow, and interned for the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. She grew up in Denver, Colorado and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Urban Studies, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy. After completing her research associateship, she will be pursuing an MSc in Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning at Imperial College London.
