Ian Hardman

Ian Hardman is a rising fourth-year at the University of Virginia, where he studies economics and environmental science. This fall, he will be a Teaching Assistant for the UVA Department of Economics’ Environmental Economics course while also beginning research on his thesis for the department’s Distinguished Majors Program. At ELI, Ian has spent extensive time researching the role of biogas production in the fight to end organic waste in the U.S. Additionally, he has spent time on projects ranging from endangered species trafficking to regulation of toxic substances. Ian plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the economics of natural resources after his graduation from UVA.
