On July 11, 2006, the Environmental Law Institute; the American Bar Association’s Section on Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources, Constitutional Law Committee; and the D.C. Bar Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Section sponsored an in-depth analysis and discussion of the decisions in the Rapanos and Carabell Supreme Court cases and their consequences for the Clean Water Act and the wetlands of the United States. The seminar provided both an insightful look at the decisions, and pragmatic advice on what they will mean for practicing lawyers in the future.
