Staying on top of the legal and policy developments in the PFAS arena is no small task. As a special service to our members, the Environmental Law Institute provides a monthly series of webinars with author of the PFAS Deskbook, James Pollack, and national experts on PFAS to keep you up to date, answer your questions, and highlight a unique topic related to PFAS during each session.
In this kick-off of the Monthly PFAS Briefing, we will discuss the release of the PFAS Deskbook, as well as legal updates related to PFAS over the last year. The Environmental Law Institute has published the PFAS Deskbook by James B. Pollack of Marten Law LLP. The PFAS Deskbook offers readers a comprehensive overview of federal and state PFAS regulation and litigation nationwide. The Deskbook begins with the historical and scientific background of PFAS to help readers better understand the pervasive nature of these “forever chemicals.” Subsequent chapters are laid out to largely follow the path of PFAS chemicals as they move through the supply chain. The book examines their creation, import, and initial use in industrial facilities, as well as the statutory and regulatory frameworks relevant to consumer products. The book further explores the variety of federal and state statutes that can apply to contaminated soils, air, and water after PFAS have entered our environment, including PFAS contamination and cleanup, making it a must-have resource for today’s environmental practitioners. Join us to learn about the book and this new ELI series!
