An important meeting and webcast on nanotechnology transatlantic regulatory cooperation will take place on Wednesday, September 23 at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.

This program is part of a collaborative research project involving experts from London School of Economics, Chatham House, Environmental Law Institute (ELI) and the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies (PEN) at the Wilson Center. It is funded by a grant from the European Commission to support pilot projects on "Transatlantic methods for handling global challenges."

The main purpose of this event is to discuss recommendations from this research effort that are part of a forthcoming report by LSE and ELI being published by Chatham House. It also is aimed at generating and examining new ideas to enable greater transatlantic convergence on nanotechnology oversight today and in the future.
