The European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) program is being implemented with wide-ranging effects not only for chemical producers, but for most companies that manufacture or distribute materials containing hazardous chemical substances. This August 3 ELI seminar examined the following questions: What are the basic requirements, key timelines, upcoming milestones? What are the implications of needing approval to test? How will exposure demands be met? How will downstream users be involved? How will public availability of information affect U.S. manufacturers?
