How Wetland Plants Respond to Elevated Carbon Dioxide

Global climate change is predicted to increase atmospheric carbon dioxide, which will change the physiology of many wetland plants. The Smithsonian Institution is conducting one of the two U.S. long-term studies on elevated CO2 and wetland ecosystems. A scientist with the study shares some of the results and their implications for wetland ecosystems.
