Riparian Management in Idaho

Everyone is aware of those narrow green strips along streams and rivers that serve as havens for fish, birds, mammals, and other wildlife. They may not know, however, that those small refuges are known as "riparian zones," and are at the center of an important debate taking place in this country. According to some it is, next to timber management, the most potentially explosive land management issue of the day.
