It is a companion to the publication Legal and Policy Tools to Adapt Biodiversity Management to Climate Change: A Resource Manual. The report provides an overview for policymakers of the importance of using adaptive management to protect biodiversity in the face of a changing climate. It translates the core elements of the more extensive resource manual into guidance for policymakers, including the need for adaptive biodiversity management, how to use law and policy to create climate-resilient biodiversity management, and options for implementing adaptive biodiversity management.
