A2 Logo

The Anthropocene Alliance (A2) is a nonprofit that empowers frontline communities by providing them with organizing support, scientific and technical guidance, and greater access to foundation and government funding. They support more than 100 member-communities in 35 U.S. states and territories. A2 places a special priority on people who have disproportionately suffered from the worst environmental impacts, like low-income, Black, Latinx, Native American, and other underserved communities.

CBF Logo

Founded in 1967, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is the largest independent conservation organization dedicated solely to saving the Bay. Serving as a watchdog, CBF fights for effective, science-based solutions to the pollution degrading the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams. CBF's Litigation Department uses carefully chosen legal action as another tool for advancing the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay and works closely with communities throughout the watershed to identify opportunities to address and prevent environmental injustices.

CLA Logo

The Chesapeake Legal Alliance (CLA) is the only regional organization solely dedicated to providing free legal services to protect the Chesapeake Bay watershed. They support individuals, community groups, and environmental advocates working to protect the Bay’s lands, waters, and communities. CLA also works with local, state, and federal regulators seeking unique solutions to Chesapeake Bay protection and restoration.

EPN Logo

The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) is a nonprofit made up of 550+ EPA alumni focused on building the capacity of environmental agencies and the communities they serve to truly address the most urgent health and environmental crises. Notably, EPN also provides capacity-building technical assistance and training to environmental justice communities, NGOs, and under-resourced state, local, and tribal government agencies.

TEX logo

The Thriving Earth Exchange (TEX) is a program within the American Geophysical Union (AGU), an international scientific society, that connects communities with scientists and supports them as they work together to tackle local challenges related to natural hazards, natural resources, and climate change. They spearhead 6 to 18 month long projects that are community-led and focused on driving local impact.
